March 13, 2017 Eternal Bliss, yet another dead mouse

¡Hola mi familia y mis amigos!

Herrmana Duvall enjoyed spending time
 with her former mission companion
Hermana Ashia Rowland as she is visiting
the Minneapolis Minnesota Mission

Hermana Dean and I went to this really good
Thai food place. The food was super good.

This has been another good week of being a missionary and I am still loving it lots. We found another dead mouse in our apartment and Hna Dean was a gem and got rid of it for us.   I am very grateful for Hermana Dean and that she's my companion. She's the best.  This transfer has just flown by and we already only have one week left! It's crazy. We hope we stay together for just one more transfer. Nothing super new, it snowed last night and it was a really cold week. We went finding this week out in the FREEZING COLD and we had a really cool "fourth floor, last door experience." We didn't dress warm enough and we were out tracting in a trailer park. We decided that we were going to knock two more doors until we headed back to our car (because we literally felt like our faces were going to fall off haha). The last door that we knocked on was this guy named Alberto and he was super interested! We are going back next week to teach him some more.

Sister Gotchy. She is one of my STLs.
We took this picture in that one 'two street town', Veseli.

We went on exchanges this week with our STLs, Sister Gotchy and Sister King. I got to go to their area with Sister Gotchy and Hermana Dean stayed in our area with Sister King. It was a really amazing experience! Sister Gotchy and I taught his  knows a lot about our religion and sat down and talked with us for a while, but in the end he just wanted to bash with us. We also went to a town that literally only had two streets in it! It's a small town called Veseli in the middle of nowhere. There are a lot of people from the Czech Republic and they had a huge church building in the center of the town. We only had the chance to talk to some of the people that lived there, but they are going to go back and try more.
We are doing a lot of work with the Youth in our ward and they are all so awesome. We were able to go to mutual this week and three investigators came to it! We went on a hike at the Faribault Nature Center and it was a lot of fun. They all really enjoyed it and this ward is super awesome in fellowshipping them. We are excited to continue to work with them.

Sister Oelkers! We love her sooo much.
Her son-in-law, Sam, is a recent convert
and he just received the Melchizedek Priesthood t
his last Sunday and he's so happy.
Sam and Nikki (her daughter) are going to be
sealed in June. We are all very excited

Abiu is doing sooo awesome and is progressing towards baptism. We are so excited for him!! We were able to teach him more this last week and everything he says and asks is just so precious. He saw a picture of the baptismal font this week and was just in awe. We also gave him a Book of Mormon for Kids which has a lot of pictures in it, because he has a hard time reading. He was really happy that we gave it to him because he wants to learn more about the stories in the Book of Mormon. I love teaching Abiu, because he just loves Jesus Christ and God SO much and in such a simple way. He has so much faith and trust; He inspires me to be better. He is going to be baptized in two weeks!!!! He is going to have his baptismal interview this week with our district leader. We hope that both Hermana Dean and I are going to stay here for next transfer, because his baptism is next Saturday after transfers. Nevertheless, he is still going to be baptized and we are SOO happy for him!!!
I am reading the Book of Mormon in Spanish and I got to my favorite chapters this morning Alma 36 and 37. I love the loving fatherly advice that Alma gives to his son, Alma. He just reminds him to remember the Lord in all things and remember that literally everything we have is because of him. I love Alma 37:36,44 says:
"36.Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever...[44]For behold, it is as easy to give heed to the word of Christ, which will point to you a straight course to eternal bliss.."
I love this scripture so much, because I know that we can receive ETERNAL BLISS if we just continue to follow Jesus Christ and His example. Yeah, it may be difficult, but it is ALWAYS worth. I know that He is the Savior of the world and that He died for us. I know that we can all receive eternal happiness that will never, ever end if we use the Atonement and continue to strive to be just a little better day by day.
I love you all so much, but more importantly, Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ loev you all so much more! Have a wonderful week and don't forget to be happy!!!

Con Amor,
Hermana Duvall

A Minnesota shaped cloud.... can you see it?
